The ABLE Institute Offers the TABE Program at its Boston Testing Center
Boston, MA. February 8, 2007 - The ABLE Institute has announced that it will be hosting the Test of Adult Basic Education at its Massachusetts Avenue testing center starting March 1st. The TABE, which is owned by CTB/McGraw-Hill, is the only online examination that evaluates adult training and employment skills, as well as examinee readiness to complete the General Educational Development test. The test measures skills in reading comprehension, language, spelling, and mathematics by working with subject matter that is relevant to adult examinees.
Brian Finkenstadt, the Director of Testing for ABLE states that, “In today’s economy, the TABE has become increasingly relevant for gauging employability for today’s jobs.” The growing amplitude of adult education programs, such as vocational-technical, college, military, corporate training, and union programs is a measure of the effectiveness of the exam. He continues, “The test pairs well with ABLE’s employability programs.” The ABLE Institute’s experience with workforce development and total literacy programs will enable it to successfully administer the TABE.
