ABLE Institute Offers TOEFL Program to Boston Community

Boston, MA. November 18, 2006 - The ABLE Institute has launched the Testing of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) program and is offering it to the Boston community. TOEFL measures English Language proficiency for students and adults interested in entering an English speaking program and is accepted by over 6,000 colleges and universities including undergraduate and graduate institutions, and licensing agencies in 110 countries, including the United States. The internet based test measures skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

TOEFL has been in such high demand that ABLE Institute has filled a void by offering this test to students who in some cases have to wait months for openings. Brian Finkenstadt, Director of Testing for ABLE Institute states, “Since its inception, ABLE Institute has been highly receptive to the needs of residents and visitors alike. As an institution we have championed the notion that a diverse educational environment provides an enriching experience for the entire learning community; we believe that providing TOEFL testing at our center can open windows for individuals looking to make it in an ever-changing global environment.”

The testing is being held at ABLE Institute's test labs in Boston, MA and offers up to 15 seats, all of which have been sold out for each session thus far. ABLE Institute administers on average, two tests per month with the test lasting approximately four hours. TOEFL testing is part of the ABLE Institute testing services division. The testing services division also includes Accuplacer, IC3, TABE, Nelson-Denny, and online proctoring for all tests.
